Center

The Eldorado Springs Art Center (ESAC) founded in 2000 by Sculptor & Social Entrepreneur, Giuseppe Palumbo.

ESAC was created with the vision of promoting arts and artists, building community and providing space for activities that have positive impact locally and globally. It was physically manifested by renovating a dilapidated Volvo repair shop into the unique, sustainably constructed, multifunction center it now is.

ESAC is based on the principles of:

  • Sustainable practices

  • Supporting arts and other artists

  • Building and fostering community

  • Art is an essential component of a healthy society

  • True wealth is the action to contribute towards a better world

  • Engaging with current events through art and meaningful action

Eldorado Springs is an unincorporated community nestled in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains, several miles South of Boulder, Colorado. Located over a mile above sea level, at an altitude of 5,682 feet, the small town, a census-designated place (CDP), is part of the Boulder, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area, with a modest population of approximately 600 residents.

Eldorado Springs

Over a hundred years ago, in the early 20th Century, Eldorado Springs was a resort town, often referred to as the ‘Coney Island of the West,’ centered around a large mineral water swimming pool. Today, Eldorado Springs remains a wonderful place to gather and cool down amid the Colorado summer heat. Today, Eldorado Springs is also home to the Eldorado Springs Art Center (ESAC).
