Rodney Swanstrom

In Collaboration with the Boulder County Art Alliance (BCAA) and the Eldorado Springs Art Center, Rodney is currently using one of our smaller studios to pursue his craft.

Rodney is a multi-disciplinary artist, working with a recurring motif of a SKYLIGHT. “The SKYLIGHT came into my practice during an independent study in NYC assisting painter Ruth Kligman in her studio, where the original SKYLIGHT was. The SKYLIGHT has become a vessel for creative exploration, creating artworks that center around light as a medium, incorporating three-dimensional canvases that blur the boundaries between sculpture and painting. My work explores concepts of passage and visual access coupled with a kaleidoscope of reflective light and color.”
