Step back in time and experience an evening of history, culture, and cuisine at the Ancient Roman Dinner! Hosted by the Denver Sister Cities Potenza Committee, this unforgettable event will bring Ancient Rome to life with authentic dishes, live entertainment, and a grand feast worthy of an emperor. Proceeds from this event support Denver-Potenza youth exchange through the Denver Young Ambassador program, providing Denver students with the opportunity to visit our sister city, Potenza, Italy, and experience Italian culture firsthand.

Three Menu Levels
Our carefully curated menus feature dishes inspired by Ancient Roman recipes, offering a once-in-a-lifetime culinary journey. Enjoy expertly prepared delicacies, including roasted meats, fresh cheeses, honey cakes, and more—served in true Roman style! Professor Steve Hughes, a renowned historian, will provide insights into the historical significance of each dish, adding an educational twist to this experience.Emperor Menu
The Emperor Menu offers a luxurious dining experience highlighted by a traditional Roman Spit-Roasted Pig to be carved table-side. A course of assorted Roman Cheeses accompanies a Numidian Chicken entree.
Senator Menu
The Senator Menu provides three upscale meal courses including: a Farro Salad starter garnished with Feta Cheese and Garbanzo Beans, a Fennel-Roasted Pork Loin entree, and a Palathai (Fig Cake) for dessert.
Gladiator Menu
The Gladiator Menu offers a vegetarian option including a String Bean Dish starter, a Barley Polenta inspired entree, and Apicius Tiropatina (Roman Cheesecake) for dessert.
